Kazakhstan postpones DTT roll out to 2018

Kazakhstan’s government postpones its plans to introduce digital terrestrial television services from the initial date of 2015 to 2018.

The government had set aside more than KZT14.5 billion (USD80 million) and KZT7 billion (USD38 million) to roll out digital TV services in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

At present, more than 3.5 million citizens in four cities have access to digital television services, NexTV Asia reports. The postponement is apparently due to technical issues.
