ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium renews principal sponsorship

WorldDMB will be the Principal Sponsor of the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium in 2015, for the second year in a row.

The symposium in Kuala Lumpur from 3-6 March will be themed “Enabling Change Smartly”, addressing how broadcasters can secure spectrum for future broadcasting by making use of latest opportunities emerging from Over-The-Top (OTT) and Integrated Broadband Broadcast (IBB) services.

DBS 2015 will feature a three-day conference, a four-day exhibition and four days of workshops.

The various sessions will include the examination of issues relating to the diversity of media audiences, UHDTV delivery mechanisms and future transmission technologies, among others.

WorldDMB is a global industry forum for digital radio, facilitating the adoption and implementation of broadcast digital radio based on the DAB, DAB+ and DMB standards. In addition to being Principal Sponsor, it will again be an exhibitor.

Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK, will be a Major Sponsor for the first time as well as an exhibitor. ATDI has also signed on again as a Major Sponsor and exhibitor.

More information is available at the Symposium website.

More than 1,200 people from 52 countries attended the 2014 Digital Broadcasting Symposium.
