Doctor Who & Top Gear specials to air on same day in Asia, UK

Asian TV audiences will be able to watch special episodes of the popular BBC shows Doctor Who and Top Gear on the same day as they premiere in the UK.

Rapid TV News reports the Doctor Who Christmas special, Doctor Who: Last Christmas, will be shown exclusively in Asia on BBC Entertainment at 8pm (HK/SIN time) on Friday 26 December 2014. The festive episode follows The Doctor and Clara as the face their last Christmas trapped on an arctic base and under attack from terrifying creatures.

Top Gear fans in Asia will be able to watch the controversial two-part Patagonia Special on Sunday 28 December and Monday 29 December on BBC Knowledge at 9pm (HK/SIN). The Top Gear presenters take a Porsche 928, Lotus Esprit and Ford Mustang on a 1,600-mile trek through Patagonia to the southernmost city in the world.
