ABU SG: Looking forward to a prosperous and successful 2015
Another year has flown and we now approach the end of 2014, the start of 2015 and a season of festivities for many.
It is a time to remember all our good friends and colleagues who have made 2014 so memorable, to thank all of you who have supported the ABU in its many achievements and to invite you to continue the journey as a member of the ABU family into 2015.
This year has, of course, been a very significant one for the ABU as we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. It has been a year for contemplating with gratitude the work and tireless efforts of those who have built the ABU in particular and broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific in general into the powerhouses they have become. It is especially important that we remember all those who dedicated large parts of their lives to these great causes but who were no longer here in our Golden Anniversary year.
How proud they would have been to join us for the 50th Anniversary General Assembly in Macau that capped off a great year of achievements in areas where the ABU and its members have been able to make serious and significant contributions.
As 2014 draws to a close, we are prepared to serve and work closely with our membership of 270 across the globe.
As always, a new year brings new challenges and the opportunity for new achievements. It will also be a time for building on the successes to-date. We will be supporting all our increasingly successful projects and partnerships – especially those for young people – and continuing to provide the services the ABU, its leadership and governing and advisory bodies are so committed to.
May this New Year bring love and joy to you, your families and friends.
