BTV Bangladesh celebrates its Golden Jubilee

Bangladesh Television is preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its broadcasts with a week long celebration featuring special programs and activities.

It is expected that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the extensive Golden Jubilee program.               

The station started broadcasting first ever Bangla programs on December 25, 1964. Since then, Bangladesh Television contributed immensely to the development of people’s life, the country’s agriculture and to fostering the psyche of the Bangali nation in the post liberation era.                

BTV has pledged to the nation to stay on course and work for the people in the next 50 years as it has done thus far.
