All India Radio pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

India’s public broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) is marking a century of Mahatma Gandhi’s return to the country from South Africa with a 100-episode series.

The research-based series is being aired from January 9 at 8.30 a.m. on FM Rainbow network and 9.15 a.m. on FM Gold network, reports Radioandmusic.com.

It has been produced by veteran broadcaster Madhuker Upadhyay and traces Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s journey from being a barrister in South Africa to becoming Mahatma Gandhi.

The series will also share interesting facts like 365 days of quiet and solitude in Gandhi’s life after his return from South Africa and the reason behind it.
