Myanmar launches two new channels

ABU member Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) has launched two new channels on 1 January 2015 – MRTV News and MRTV Entertainment.

The MRTV news channel televises news and events, information about opportunities, education, health, telecommunication and infrastructural development. The MRTV entertainment channel airs movies and educative programs.

Myanmar has been carrying out media reforms which includes transformation of state-owned broadcasting into public service broadcasting.
