Singapore’s boasts first 4K-ready virtual studio

Singapore’s first 4K-ready virtual reality studio has been created as part of a sports and entertainment production facility.

The 2,500 square foot studio, created by Infinite Studios, comprises a green screen cychorama infinity wall coupled with technology from Ross Video, 3D Graphics and EVS, Rapid TV News reports.

“EVS technology including the XT3 platform and IPDirector for production asset management give us state-of-the-art production capabilities that can grow as we do,” said Lawrence Ang, head of operations at Infinite Studios.

“The system is flexible, and with features like native recording formats, 4K Ready and complete content management, is designed to facilitate world-class production not just today but tomorrow.”

The live production server provides live replays and slow motion, as well as on-the-fly highlights’ editing, graphics sequences and full 4K options. Live production asset management controls ingest feeds, content management and third-party exchange. Live to post-production operations in FCP and Adobe are also seamlessly enabled, the manufacturer claims.

The Virtual Studio also includes Ross UX for virtual solutions control, XPression for graphics rendering, a Furio robotic dolly-based camera system, Carbonite with a dual role of switcher and UltraChrome for keying, an NK router along with openGear.
