Radio digitisation to come under spotlight at DBS

Strategies for the digitisation of radio will be the focus of a daylong workshop in Kuala Lumpur on 3 March.

The workshop, organised by WorldDMB, will be held on the opening day of the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium, which takes place on 4-6 March.

WorldDMB is the Principal Sponsor of the symposium.

The workshop will look at both short and long term strategies for the roll-out of the digitisation of radio. It will provide updates on the continued growth of DAB+ digital radio around the world.

At least eight speakers will address a wide range of topics. They include experts from the BBC, the European Broadcasting Union, RTM-Malaysia, Commercial Radio Australia and WorldDMB itself.

WorldDMB is the global industry forum for digital radio, facilitating the adoption and implementation of broadcast digital radio based on DAB, DAB+ and DMB, the digital radio standards adopted by many broadcasters across Europe, the Asia Pacific and other regions.
