DBS 2015 Closed: Highly Interactive and Enriching

The ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2015 ends up this Friday 6 March 2015 at Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur with a high level of interaction among participants. Broadcast professionals mainly in the technological fields and coming from more than 40 countries have had a strong desire to take stock of latest developments in evolving  technologies like DVB-T2, HEVC/H.265 and  4K. Participants were also highly interested with the other topics of this year’s agenda such as Spectrum Issues, Digital Radio, Digital Archiving, OTT, Hbb and IP Production.

655 visitors including 344 delegates and 73 speakers attended the symposium this year. 347 delegates from ABU member countries were  present. The exhibition set up in the context of the symposium attracted visitors from different areas of the broadcasting industry.

A workshop on the importance of spectrum for broadcasters  chaired by ABU Technology Director, Dr Amal Punchihewa was among the last sessions on today’s agenda. The other sessions focused on Dolby Surround Techniques, OTT and Integrated Broadband.
