NHK World: Launching soon a new Monthly Debate Program “GLOBAL AGENDA”

“GLOBAL AGENDA” is a new program within NHK WORLD TV. World opinion leaders will discuss various issues facing Japan and the rest of the world today.

In the first series of the program – “The Sun Also Rises? Japan’s Potential in the Post-Crisis World Economy”, panellists will discuss whether Japan, as the “Made in Japan” brand, can ever regain its strength. They will analyse the issues that need to be overcome to achieve the goal, as Japan is currently struggling in this increasingly competitive global environment.

The forum will be held at Japan Society in New York and the new programme will be broadcast as from Saturday 25 April 2015.
