ABU teams up with ITU and AIBD on DTT Workshop in Kuala Lumpur

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) with the support from Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC-Japan) are organizing an ITU-AIBD-ABU Pre-Summit Workshop on “Enhancing Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Transition Experience” to be held at the Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday 25 May 2015.

The full-day workshop will be followed by the Asia Media Summit 2015 scheduled from 26 to 28 May 2015.

The workshop will assist participants in understanding the various types of digital terrestrial television technology that are used around the world, ATSC, DTMB, ISDB-T, and DVB T/T2, future trends of interactive multimedia services in Asia-Pacific and learn from countries experience in implementing the digital Terrestrial Television broadcasting transition.
