Downloading ABC internet TV content is now a paid service

‘Links to Buy’ is  a new service proposed by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation through its internet TV, iview. This means that Australians can now download to own their favourite ABC programs outside of the free to view window.

The new service provides seamless access to purchase and own content from iTunes, Google Play and ABC Shop Online. The Links to Buy service will launch from iview and is run by ABC Commercial.

Rebecca Heap ,Head of TV Strategy & Digital Products at the Australian national broadcaster  says  that ABC iview remains at the forefront of internet TV by pairing user-centered features with distinct Australian content.

Links to Buy will initially be available on desktop and iOS devices, with additional devices to be supported in the near future.
