ABC Oxfam Nepal Earthquake Appeal raises nearly $ 5 million

ABC Managing Director Mark Scott has announced that the ABC Oxfam Nepal Earthquake Appeal has raised $4.77 million since last week.

Mr Scott said that the aim of this exercise is to help the people of Nepal recover and rebuild from the earthquake that caused so much havoc and loss of life.

He recalled that ABC raised money for the Pacific region after Tropical Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu and its neighbours, and this demonstrated that the ABC has the ability to highlight and focus fundraising efforts both quickly and effectively.

The funds raised through the ABC Oxfam Nepal Earthquake Appeal will deliver to the people of Nepal critical assistance in the form of clean water, medical and emergency supplies vital to Nepalese families as they begin to rebuild.
