NHK WORLD TV intensifies Promotion in the United States

NHK is targeting more foreign audiences in North America and Asia this year. In the United States, NHK is using CNN TV’s advertising network in New York and Washington DC to attract more viewers interested in international news and reach opinion leaders and business people looking for news from Japan and around Asia.

NHK WORLD TV, the international television service for foreign audiences led by the Japanese public broadcaster, is placing special emphasis on promotional activities and improvements to the viewing environment in North America and Asia during the current broadcasting year.

The intensive campaign includes use of CNN’s giant screen in New York’s Times Square for the first time ever for about two months starting in May 15th to display a promotional video for NHK WORLD TV. The Japanese public broadcaster is also screening  a PR Video in five American  airports for  8 weeks on 279 screens.
