TVB – Hong Kong uses high definition digital channel for new Sports broadcasts

Television Broadcasts Limited is teaming up with the Hong Kong Jockey Club to serve Hong Kong audiences by providing live TV coverage of Mark Six draws beginning 1 August and next season’s race meetings.

The broadcasts will be carried by TVB’s J2, a high definition digital channel. J2 is a general entertainment channel offering a mix of programmes customised to young people who are driven, energetic and actively interested in trendy and chic culture. Over the years, J2 has accumulated a critical mass of audiences, 85% of them are aged 25 or over.

In addition to live coverage meetings, other ancillary racing programmes supplied by the Hong Kong jockey Club will be aired on J2 and Pearl.
