ABC – Australia Launches Preschool App

The creators of Play School Art Maker, Play School Play Time and ABC Kids iview have developed the new ABC Kids play app, designed for preschoolers.

The app is currently available for free download for the iPad on the App Store and offers a collection of games and activities featuring ABC Kids shows such as Play School, Giggle and Hoot and Bananas in Pyjamas. The games for children aged 2 to 6 encourage kids to create, investigate and play. Once installed, the app does not require an internet connection, so kids can use it anywhere.

Rebecca Heap, ABC TV’s head of strategy and digital products, said: “We are thrilled to offer our youngest audience an additional opportunity to learn, be creative and engage with their favourite ABC Kids characters. Created specifically for, and tested by, our preschool audience, the app has a high production value throughout and is one parents and caregivers can trust to entertain and educate their children.”

An Android version of the app will be released soon.
