TRT Turkey signs cooperation agreement to enrich its programming

Turkish public broadcaster, TRT has signed an agreement with Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) serving Malta to pave the way to enriched programming and an exchange of services and knowledge.

The collaboration protocol will provide for radio and television programmes in English to be mutually transmitted and the two organizations will cooperate in the production and broadcasting of cultural documentaries relevant to both countries.

Additionally, the agreement will facilitate the exchange of technical information and professional resource training, and builds on an established relationship.

In May this year, the two broadcasters collaborated to produce a series of documentaries on the historical heritage of the Maltese Islands and plans for a number of similar programmes dealing with Turkey’s historical heritage are in the pipeline.
