High Expectation for ROBOCON 2015 in Indonesia
The 14th ABU ROBOCON 2015 finals will take place in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 23rd August. Hosted by Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI), the event provides several days of friendship-building functions and trips for the international contestants and their supporters. Yogyakarta, is expecting 19 teams from 18 ABU countries/regions who will compete under the theme of “Robominton: Badminton Robo-Game”.
Mr Yoshihito Kuroiwa, ABU Robocon Deputy Secretariat- Chief Executive Producer at NHK-Japan and his team has had various meetings with TVRI-Indonesia and the Contest Committee members.
The contest this year will be held at the Muhammadiyah University in Yogyakarta and will be broadcast Live on TVRI, the Indonesian national broadcaster.
Meanwhile, the venues for three next editions of Robocon have been confirmed as follows:
2016: Chiangmai, Thailand
2017: Tokyo, Japan
2018: Vietnam.
