AsiaSat expands its service partnership

Following a renewed agreement with AsiaSat, Singapore’s ST Teleport has increased its satellite and fibre communications service offerings to the region’s media and VSAT sectors.

ST Teleport has expanded its C-band satellite capacity after installing a new dedicated antenna for AsiaSat 4 at 122° East, in response to user demand for high quality connectivity solutions for data and video services in Asia.

The company’s teleport facility in Singapore – which serves data, maritime and media clients – is also now capable of connecting to AsiaSat’s fleet of satellites, including the new Ku-band capacity on AsiaSat 8’s South East Asia and Middle East beams.

“Access to more AsiaSat capacity will enable ST Teleport to efficiently expand our services geographically and to serve more diverse industries and businesses,” said Joseph Chan, Managing Director, ST Teleport.

Philip Balaam, Vice President, sales and business development, AsiaSat, added: “We aim to bring a new level of high performance, cost-effective satellite solutions and comprehensive coverage to ST Teleport and their clients through this stronger partnership”.
