GA 2015: New proposed ABU TV Programmes attract members’ interest
New programmes from Asia and Europe such as “Global Anti-Bullying “ from NHK and “Under the Same Sky” , a documentary co-production by Wildside Production of Italy were announced at the last day of the ABU Programme Committee meeting.
Members present at the meeting were also briefed about the main ABU events to be held in 2016. The RadioAsia Conference and the Radio Song Festival are scheduled in Beijing in April next year hosted by China National Radio. The second edition of the Media 2020 Conference organised by the ABU in collaboration with Radio Romania will be held back to back with the two events in Beijing.
Thai PBS will host the 2nd ABU Media Summit on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction in Phuket, Thailand on 12-14 May 2016. The ABU Programme Department recalled also the deadline for 2016 ABU Prizes entries.
Panellists from Japan, Korea, Turkey and Italy expressed their views at the Expert Dialogue Panel on the theme “Content Convergence: The Art of Digital Storytelling”
The meeting concluded with the re-lection of Ms Deborah Steele of ABC Australia as Vice-Chairperson of ABU Programme Committee for the next two years.
