Reel Time: Bamboo wins 2015 Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award

A documentary produced and broadcast by GMA Network, about poverty and hardship lives of children in Philippines has won this year’s Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award. Reel Time: Bamboo is a television documentary on the hardship lives of 3 who earn their living by cutting bamboo poles from the mountain and carrying them back home

In spite of some disabilities the three boys strive hard to meet the needs of their family and to educate themselves.

Reel Time: Bamboo was praised by the jurors for telling the story without using any narrator voice.  It is also a story bound by friendship.
