GA 2015: ABU Elects a New Vice President for the Union and Members to the Administrative Council
The ABU 52nd General Assembly in Istanbul, Turkey elected Mr Şenol GÖKA the Director General of Turkish Radio and Television Corporation – TRT as the new Vice President of the Union. Mr Şenol GÖKA has been elected unanimously and his term will be for three years.
Two members: TRT-Turkey and TDM-Macau were re-elected to the Administrative Council, the governing body of the ABU and five members namely DD-India, IRIB-Iran, RTA-Afghanistan, RTHK-Hong Kong and MTRK- Uzbekistan were newly elected to the Council for three years starting from January 2016.
These elections concluded the 52nd General Assembly and the Associated Meetings of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union in Istanbul, Turkey.
