TV New Zealand gives free content to Pacific broadcasters

The government of New Zealand is supporting a new broadcasting initiative of TVNZ to give eight hours a day of free-to-air content to Pacific countries.

The New Zealand Economic Ambassador in the Pacific said that ‘Broadcasting is a great way for the interests and values that New Zealanders hold dear to be protected in the Pacific. A consultant working on the project said that the initiative is more than just providing content.

He added that TVNZ will help and encourage pacific broadcasters to produce more local  content in their territories. And they will be provided with Camera equipment and kits.  Training courses also will be organised in New Zealand for the broadcasting staff of the pacific countries.
