ABU Acting President Mr Hikaru Doumoto visits the ABU
The Acting President of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Mr Hikaru Doumoto makes a visit to the ABU Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur on 24 December 2015.
Mr Doumoto and his two Senior NHK colleagues namely; Mr Hashimoto and Mr Shimada were welcomed by the ABU Secretary General Dr Javad Mottaghi.
After holding discussions with Dr Javad, Mr Doumoto and the NHK delegation were briefed on the activities of the ABU by the various heads of departments. Mr Doumoto said NHK of Japan is fully committed to continue supporting the Union in the process of implementing its long – term action plan from 2016 to 2020.
Thanking the ABU Acting President for taking time off from his busy schedule to visit the ABU Headquarters, Dr Mottaghi said that the Secretariat is confident that the next few years will be even more active in servicing members and initiating several new projects within the long term action plans of the ABU.
A couple of events have been arranged for the visiting delegation in the afternoon.
Mr Doumoto and the NHK delegation are on a one day visit to Malaysia.
