A New Director-General at Thai PBS-Thailand

Dr Krissada Ruang-areerat is the new Director-General of the Thai Public Broadcasting Service – Thai PBS since last month.

He was selected among five candidates after a two-thirds majority vote by the board of governors. Dr Krissada , 50 years old, was a former Thai Health Promotion Foundation Manager but resigned last October.

After his appointment, Dr Krissada announced his vision for Thai PBS, which was to use the public service to foster social change.

He succeeds to Mr Somchai Suwanban.
