KBS-Korea and ABS-CBN in the Philippines acquire famous War and Peace drama series

Based on Tolstoy’s classic novel, War and Peace is now gaining traction in different parts of the world. Many countries in Asia including Korea, the Philippines, India, Australia, China and Russia have acquired this famous and internationally acclaimed drama series.

War and Peace is a British-American historical period drama television serial first broadcast on BBC One on 3 January 2016. It is a six-part adaptation written by Andrew Davies and directed by Tom Harper.

It is regarded as one of the central works of world literature. War and Peace and Tolstoy’s other major prose work, Anna Karenina, are considered Tolstoy’s finest literary achievements.
