The Stage is set for 2016 ABU RADIO SONG FESTIVAL

Fourteen finalists from 13 countries will be performing in Beijing, China on  26 April  2016 at the 4th edition of the ABU Radio Song Festival. The Festival uncovers the best unsigned original music across Asia-Pacific region.

The selected artists are:Wang Yi, Zhang Yingying, Ren Yanmin, Zhenmin Hua Shukai-China,The China Broadcasting Children’s Chorus-China, Thokchom Lansana Chanu-India, Novri Batteny-Indonesia, Seungin Han-Korea, Josie Ho –Macau, Bathool Ahmed-Maldives, Eastern & Phoe Pyae-Myanmar, Suman Gurung-Nepal, Ling Kai from-Singapore, Nawapol Roadsomjit-Thailand,  Berdiyev Atajan-Turkmenistan, and Phan Thi Thu Lan-Vietnam.

This year there will be a special guest singer. Analia Selis from Radio Romania will join the finalists on stage.

Nearly all members who registered right at the beginning have confirmed their participation to the three events which will run from 25-27 April 2016 in Beijing, China, hosted by China National Radio (CNR).

RadioAsia 2016 Conference with the theme “Let’s Talk Radio” is scheduled on 25 April. The stage is set for the Radio Song Festival on 26 April. Media 2020 Conference with the theme “Taking The Media Forward” will close the series on 27 April.

The topics range from Power of Radio, Radio on the Move, Public Service Broadcasting, Leading the Way in Competitive Markets, UHDTV Content Creation, Story Telling in the Digital Age, TV Journalism and Social Media, Digital Radio Delivery: European and Asian Viewpoint, Song Festivals in Europe and Asia: Promoting Culture and Case Studies: European and Asian Competitive Markets.

More than 40 well-known international speakers will share their expertise and experience and interact with delegates.

The event will also be enriched by a concert “The Violin of George Enescu” organised by Radio Romania on 27 April 2016.
