NHK WORLD Expands Video-on-Demand

NHK WORLD TV has increased Video-on-Demand from 13 to 27 programs. The number of NHK WORLD VOD users has more than doubled since June of last year, and many have written in to ask for more titles. The expansion includes new programs–such as A Century on Film, Direct Talk, and J-Trip Plan–as well as established ones, including TOKYO FASHION EXPRESS and SAMURAI WHEELS. In general, VOD programs will be available for two to four weeks after broadcast.

VOD can be accessed from the NHK WORLD website or an Internet media player connected to a TV set. VOD apps will soon be available for smartphones and tablets. NHK WORLD TV will continue to enhance its services to meet the expectations of viewers across the globe.
