Mediacorp wins PromaxBDA Global and SOPA Awards

Mediacorp wins seven PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards – a competition which recognises marketing excellence in the media marketing space. The Singaporean public broadcaster also bags an Excellence in Information Graphics award at the prestigious Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) Awards.

At PromaxBDA 2016 awards on the 16th of June, Mediacorp won three Gold, two Silver, and two Bronze awards. This year had the largest participation from more than 280 networks and TV stations around the world, and a record 6,000 entries. MediaCorp’s haul of gold awards came from Channel NewsAsia in the ‘News/Information Programme Spot’ for Bring Back the Girls documentary and Channel 8 Current Affairs in the Art Direction and Design for News Programme Open/Titles in both the Tuesday Report and Money Week.

The SOPA Awards which celebrates editorial excellence in both traditional and new media, were designed to encourage editorial vitality throughout the region. The award for Excellence in Information Graphics (Group B) went to TODAY’s Adolfo Arranz for Rohingyas’ painful exodus.
