Channel NewsAsia to examine effects of US Election on Asia

Insight – US Election Special is a four-part series that delves into issues Asia may face as the upcoming US Presidential election in November has been viewed with a degree of uncertainty and anxiety in Asia. 

With both presumptive candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, offering different visions for America and the rest of the world, each episode examines the issues and impacts from the perspectives of various Asian countries and regions, namely Japan-Korea, China, ASEAN and India.  

The first episode – New U.S. President: Japan-Korea Perspective – looks at how a change in the US leadership may affect Japan and South Korea in their trade and defence sectors.  

The four programmes will be aired from 21-24 July 2016.
