ABU International Dance Festival – Entries are now Open
This new ABU activity is more of a showcase than a competition. The objective is to create a bridge between young people from different parts of the Asia-Pacific region, through dance as an international language. They will be amateur dancers between the ages of 18 and 25.
The first edition of the ABU International Dance Festival will be held in Hyderabad from 13-15 January 2017, hosted by Doordarshan-India.
Each participating country can showcase two entries only – one for Traditional dance and one for Contemporary dance. Each presentation will be for a maximum of 8 minutes and each choreography shall have 2 to 8 participants with the age range specified above. The contemporary choreography works have to be original and the piece that the team presents in the selection must be the same piece that they perform in the finale.
