MRTV-Myanmar launches a new Entertainment Channel

The MRTV Entertainment Channel content which includes movies and educational programmes is broadcast on Digital Terrestrial on DVB-T2 across the country. Since the 2015 General Elections, Myanmar has been carrying out media reforms, which include the transformation of state-owned broadcasting into public service broadcasting.

Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) entered into an agreement with Imagine Communications which has deployed its Versio integrated playout solution to support the launch of a new channel. The technology combines automation, branding, graphics, file server, storage and master control capabilities in an integrated environment.

To speed deployment and reduce the need for complex maintenance, MRTV Entertainment Channel deployed Imagine Communications’ Versio, which. Versio has simplified the creation and management of the MRTV Entertainment Channel and enables the company to extend its brand and content. In addition, the Imagine Communications solution provides MRTV Entertainment Channel viewers with access to high-quality content and graphics.
