DD-India Freedish adds three new TV channels

DD Freedish, the free-to-air direct-to-home platform of India has sold three new slots and extending the licence of 24. Successful new channels are News State Uttarakhand/Uttar Pradesh, 9x Bajao TV, and a teleshop channel.

After the e-auction, no vacant slots were available on the platform. Presently 80 channels are available on the Freedish platform including DD channels. Among the 24 channels whose licenses have been extended, include three general entertainment channels, six movie channels, eight news channels, three music channels, three devotional channels and one home shopping channel.

The channels are mainly Hindi-language ones and a couple of channels are in Bhojpuri.
