VTV-Vietnam won the ASEAN Best Contribution Award
Vietnam Television has won this year’s the ASEAN Contribution Award, sponsored annually by Asiavision.
ASEAN Television News Exchange Awards (ATN) is a pioneering platform to disseminate information on activities in the ASEAN Community. ATN was introduced in January 1998 to allow the television networks of ASEAN member states to promote community-building efforts and instill awareness of ASEAN among the region’s people.
In appreciation of the efforts and contributions, ASIAVISION (AVN) has contributed fully to the operation of ATN. It has helped in expanding the exposure of ATN to members of the organization.
This year saw ASIAVISION for Best Contribution Award awarded to Vietnam Television (VTV) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The award presentation was officiated by His Excellency Savankhone Razmountry, Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lao PDR. The winner was announced by Mr. Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, the Acting Director of Information as Chairman of the Sub-Committee of ASEAN-COCI in the field of Information (SCI).
The prize presentation ceremony was held during the Gala Dinner in honour of the delegations of ASEAN member countries attending the 51st Meeting of ASEAN-COCI.
