KBS President & CEO Recognised at Asian Television Awards

KBS President & CEO, Mr Ko Dae-young who is also the ABU President has received an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Asian Television in recognition of his contribution to the broadcast and television industry at this year’s Asian Television Awards.

The award which was remitted to Mr Ko on 1 December 2016 at Suntec Singapore recognised the effort made by KBS-Korea to produce distinctive TV content such as Descendants of the Sun which has taken Asia by storm.

Mr Ko said that the award will be fresh encouragement for KBS producers who are always striving to create outstanding programs. He added that he will continue his effort to make content which can be universally engaged by both local and global audiences. KBS has been leading the Korean-Wave epitomised in such drama series as Winter Sonata and the most recently Descendants of the Sun and Love in the Moonlight. 

Mr Raymond Wong, Chairman of the Asian Television Awards said that Mr Ko made an impact on the Asian television industry with his exceptional business acumen and positive drive.
