MetroTV-Indonesia Sets up New HD Studios

Metro TV, Indonesia’s first 24-hour national news channel, based in West Jakarta, has selected Ideal Systems to design and build its new High Definition studios and control rooms.

The new studios will be enabled for full HD productions with high end graphics from VizRT, and will use Dante network protocols to deliver uncompressed, multi-channel, low-latency digital audio over IP. The project will include the installation of a new news room computer system and media asset management system from Dalet. The station was established sixteen years ago and now has over 50 terrestrial transmission sites across Indonesia and is also carried on satellite and digital terrestrial.
