One of Hong Kong’s biggest annual fund-raising campaigns, ‘Operation Santa Claus’ – co-organised by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) Radio 3 and South China Morning Post  (SCMP), raised a total of HK$16,002,530 in 2016.

Established in 1988 with the aim of connecting the local community to charities with the help of the city’s most respected media organisations, OSC is one of Hong Kong’s most beloved charity efforts. The theme for this year was “Small Change, Big Change” and 23 charities in six distinct areas have been identified to receive OSC donations.

They are serving the causes of Children & Youth, Elderly, Community, Environment, Medical Services and Physical/Mental Disabilities.

Director of Broadcasting, LEUNG Ka-wing and Chief Executive Officer of SCMP Publishers Ltd., Gary LIU expressed their gratitude to all donors for their generosity, as well as to those who continuously initiated creative fundraising ideas for the good cause.
