DBS 2017 to focus on Digital Transition

The ABU’s annual Digital Broadcasting Symposium will be held from the 6th – 9th March at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. The conference and workshops are set to address key topics related to digital migration and implementing digital technologies throughout the complete broadcast and media value chain, from acquisition, post-production, its delivery and to archiving and media management.  

More than 60 eminent speakers and industry experts will be joining the event and sharing their expertise and experiences in relevant conference and workshops sessions. 

Some of the key areas of discussions at the symposium include;

  • New Media Masterclass – storytelling and audience engagement
  • New Enhancements in Workflow and Media Management

The 2017 symposium, with the theme “Digitise, Digitalise and Dominate”, will focus on the importance of embracing digital technologies and moving into the digital domain to succeed and become a dominant player in the current market space. 

This is the 13th symposium organised by the ABU, and the event has gained a prominent position in the industry events calendar.  The event is supported by prominent industry partners with WorldDAB as principal sponsor for the fourth consecutive year and six major sponsors; the Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission, Dell-EMC, MediaGeniX, Dolby, Aspera, and Rohde & Schwarz. This composite event with an industry exhibition, international conference and technology workshops attract broadcasters and media professionals from around the world.
