Radio New Zealand features Documentaries produced by University students

Love, Health and Pacific Reflections were among the main topics of seven radio documentaries produced by Auckland University of Technology students  and were broadcast on Radio New Zealand National last month.

Final year Bachelor of Communications Studies students majoring in radio were given the opportunity to produce a 10-minute radio documentary on any subject as a final project for the Radio Performance paper. The paper teaches students how to plan, write, produce and present a radio show or radio documentary.

The documentaries focused on different themes such as: A 40 year-old-woman looking for love, a grandfather recovering from a stroke, a Pacific grandmother’s recollections and the life of a bushman.
