Seven Network – Australia to focus more on local content

Channel Seven has decided to produce three local programmes for prime time, including two original formats.

Following the success of My Kitchen Rules and House Rules, Seven’s production department has created the original formats Instant Hotel and Back with the Ex. Instant Hotel is a competition series that sees homeowners battle it out to win the title of Best Instant Hotel. Homeowners will be judged on their hospitality and more when turning their homes into a holiday accommodation for others.

The format Back with the Ex reunites singles with an ex they have not been able to forget. The singles must decide whether the ex was actually “the one.”

Other Seven projects include a comedy panel show titled Behave Yourself! The programme sees Aussie comedians and celebrities compete in physical games that reveal the shocking facts behind why we do the things we do. The show is co-developed by Seven and Eureka Productions. Produced by Eureka Productions, Behave Yourself! is hosted by Darren McMullen. It is based on the experiments of world-renowned behavioural expert and New York Times best-selling author Dan Ariely.
