ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2017 Closed on High Note

The 2017 ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium (6-9 March) closed this afternoon at the Royale Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur after 4 days of intense deliberations on various sectors of the broadcasting industry.

Over 1000 participants coming from nearly 60 countries attended the symposium which focused on the latest developments in broadcast technologies. The conference theme, “Digitise, Digitalise and Dominate’ was of considerable interest to attendees.

More than 70 speakers including accomplished broadcasters, consultants, engineers, content and new media professionals as well as broadcast regulators talked on a wide array of highly relevant topics concerning the media industry.

In conjunction with the symposium, 43 exhibitors showcased their latest products and services in 63 booths. This year the Best Booth Award was bestowed on SONY. The next ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium will be held from 5-8 March 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
