EMTV and Click TV team up on digitalisation in Papua New Guinea

Television in Papua New Guinea (PNG) is going digital after a deal between EMTV and Click TV. All Click TV viewers will have access to EMTV on a nationwide digital platform.

The carriage of EMTV on Click TV marks a significant milestone for all operators. It means that NBC and EMTV are available together nationwide on a DTH service for the very first time. It’s an exciting achievement for all broadcasters in PNG.

EMTV has provided Click TV the approval to carry the channel on the Click TV platform, allowing many viewers living in areas outside normal transmission towers to access EMTV. The move comes just before the 2017 General Election in June allowing viewers in all provinces access to important information leading to the vote and count.
