3rd ABU Media Summit on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction – Dhaka Declaration Of Commitment

Following the summit successfully held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the delegates reinforce their commitment to the task of conveying life-saving disaster risk reduction information to the people of the Asia-Pacific region, as well as sharing knowledge for action on climate change issues and sustainable developments goals.

It is understood that Climate change affects people of all nations irrespective of their region and social status. Media, especially radio and television have a crucial role to play to initiate dialogue and to highlight the challenges which can affect people in any calamity prone area.
