Japanese Championships for ABU Robocon 2017 Tokyo

The Japanese Championships for ABU Robocon 2017 Tokyo was held on Sunday, June 11 with 24 teams participating. A game is contested by two teams by knocking off beach balls and placing team color’s discs as many as possible on the 7 spots in the field.

As a result of white-knuckled matches, Tokyo Institute of Technology won the grand-prix for the first time. The runner-up was the University of Tokyo. NHK for its hosting status is entitled to send two representatives to upcoming ABU Robocon. National selections are being held in various countries and regions towards July.

The ABU Robocon 2017 will be hosted by NHK on August 27. The contest will broadcast live on NHK’s official Robocon website dubbed with English and several other languages.
