TRT-Turkey has a New Director General

Mr Ibrahim Eren has recently been appointed as the new Director General of Turkish Radio Television Corporation (TRT). He succeeds to Mr Senol Goka who had served as head of the Turkish public broadcaster for the last two and half years. 

The new Director General started his professional career working for leading media firms in arts and culture, producing documentaries, animated films, promotional films and advertorials for local and international clients.

In July 2013, Mr Ibrahim Eren was appointed as Deputy Director General of TRT and in 2014, he launched Turkey’s first international news channel, TRT World.

Mr Eren is also the Chairman of the Executive Board of TIAK A.S (Television Audience Research Committee Joint Stock Company), and a member of the Board of Directors at Turk Telekom. He is also a Director of International Emmy.

The new Director General graduated from Bogazici University’s Faculty of Economics and Administration Sciences in 2004 and has a Masters in Media Management from University of Westminster in London.
