The 8th ABU Pacific Media Partnership Conference will be held in Solomon Islands, from 15-17 August 2017
We are getting closer to the key media event that the ABU will organise in the Pacific. This year the event is hosted by Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC) in collaboration with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and other ABU members in Solomon Islands.
As in previous years, participating countries will include Samoa, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati, Federated States of Micronesia and Fiji. Industry experts from ASEAN (Thailand and Indonesia), New Zealand and Australia will also share their experiences. The conference with the theme “Television: Islanders on Screen!” will address all dimensions of broadcasting; viz. technology, business models, gender and development communication as well as access to information beyond digital.
