Les Murray honoured with a state funeral in Australia

Australian football presenter and commentator Les Murray who passed away on 31 July 2017 was honoured with a state funeral last week in Sydney.  

Family members, colleagues and friends paid their last tribute to Les who was considered as a football icon in Australia. The venue was St Mary’s Cathedral rather than a football stadium. The singing was by a choir rather than supporters in the stands. The state funeral brought together the broadcasting and political communities in Sydney.
