Time is running out to secure your dotRadio domain!

Broadcasters wishing to secure their special dotRadio domain in the initial, protected phase, now have less than one month remaining to do so. After that, the general availability will begin with more risks for protecting your brands.

As you are already aware, dotRadio is the new top-level Internet domain for which the EBU is responsible. The EBU, together with the ABU, are managing this domain on your behalf, because the worldwide radio community, expressed their wish that dotRadio should exist as a community domain for the benefit of the entire radio sector.

During the launch period, until the end of October, we will assess applications from the radio sector, resolving duplicate requests for the same name. This allows you, the genuine radio broadcasters, to have the best chance of securing the domains to which you are entitled, before general availability. After that, it will be first-come, first-served basis, and there will be many more risks for you.

To secure the .radio domain(s) your organisation needs, you now have two options:

Option 1: Apply through the special website managed by the EBU.

Option 2: Contact any .radio accredited registrar listed here, if you need extra services, like hosting or mailing.

If you choose Option 1 and require more than four domains, you can email Alain Artero and he will be able to assist you with registration and any questions you may have.

There are already many enterprising and imaginative applications, and we look forward to hearing from you!
