ABU Webinar Series completes one Year

‘Cybersecurity for Broadcasters’ as the main topic, the 12th edition of the ABU Webinar Series was conducted on 11 December 2017.

In this webinar, Aale Raza, Director at Whiteways Systems Singapore, enlightened participants on how broadcasters could be affected by cybersecurity incidents, the essential cyber security activities all broadcasters should know to address the evolving challenge of cyberattack, and the experiences from real-world broadcasters. Ten participants from 6 ABU member broadcasters took part in the webinar. Participating broadcasters were: MRTV-Myanmar, TRT-Turkey, NMA-Egypt, ACORAB-Nepal, Radio Liban-Lebanon and Office of the Regulator-Samoa.

With this webinar, ABU Webinar Series has completed one year since it was launched in December 2016. 12 sessions have been conducted in the past year with one webinar each month. Almost 200 participants from ABU member organisations have benefited from this initiative.
